November Program
Also at the November program you may bring your envelops for next year. (Jean will bring all the remaining envelops for you to see how many you need to replace. Note: Gale Court, Ann Hausser, Carol Kennaday have enough for 2005.)
Wanted
Jean will produce the newsletter again next year BUT would like to have an assistant for ideas, help with gathering information, etc.
Please see her about the aspects of the job.
If you get information about events, shows, new shops, trips, etc. that would be of interest to our guild, please give Jean Wanchick the information for the newsletter.
Holiday Dinner
The end of 2004 is drawing to a close and that always marks the
guild’s annual holiday dinner. On December 14th we will once again be gathering at the Village Inn in Harlansburg, PA to enjoy each other’s company and have a great meal.
Dinner choices are stuffed chicken, pork chop and braised steak.
The cost is $13 (the guild will be paying for dessert). If you want to attend, but haven’t paid for your dinner, please contact one of the program committee members as soon as possible.
Plan to arrive at 6:00 p.m. for dinner at 6:30 p.m. To participate in the gift exchange, bring a sewing—related gift no less than $10 in value. We hope everyone will be able to attend the party.
Best wishes for the holidays and the new year to come.
November’s Meeting
Thanks goes out to Carol
Selepek for her great program on machine quilting. Her hints and suggestions were very good even for those of us who are “machine quilting challenged”. Just the use and care of the machine and products she mentioned were very important for everyone who sews.
Mailing Envelopes
If you didn’t bring your newsletter envelopes yet, remember to bring them to the December meeting if you want to receive newsletters by mail next year.
Message from Wales
Lady Elizabeth Zorab (Liz) sent me an email announcing her business—selling vintage fabric (old Laura Ashley, etc.) She sells on ebay under the name Pretty Practicals. She would like to sell to area quilters. Check her out on ebay or email her at:
