Claudia Furlan
Claudia started quilting in 1986 when she bought a pattern and decided that she’d better learn to quilt before she attempted the pattern.  She took a class and has continued to quilt ever since.
She’s taken paper piecing and other fast technique classes.  She thoroughly enjoyed learning and teaching “Stack and Slash” quilts. Her favorite types are the traditional patterns of quilts.
Claudia believes that she has “way too much fabric” (can that be???) We’d find brights, halloween, Christmas, navy, dark greens and lately theme fabric and flannels.  She has no idea of how many quilts she has made.
A high school special education teach at Grove City, Claudia quilts every evening and also love retreats.

Harriet Mason
Harriet began quilting in the late 1970’s by taking one of Eleanor Burn’s log cabin classes in Pittsburgh.  Since then she has taken other classes including machine quilting with Harriet Hargrave and a Sampler Quilt at the Quilting Bee.  She loves piecing traditional quilts and paper piecing.  Harriet has been influenced by her daughter, Tracy, who has inspired her to be more particular about  every aspect of quilting.  “She is so demanding of herself [that she sets a good example].
Harriet’s stash contains pastels and country colors and reflects her “addiction” to 30s fabric.  She admits to having between 600—700 different pieces of yardage.  She has made “tons” of quilts, but only has 7 or 8 that are quilted and finished.
Harriet teaches classes at the Quilting Bee, Quilter’s Quarters in Butler and Sandy Lord’s Gallery.   She quilts every moment that she can.  Her tips to other quilters is “Be accurate in cutting, seam allowance and assembly.  I love a tidy quilt that is squared and lays flat.  I hate the expression ‘It will quilt out’ ...Not Always!”
